Young at Art 2016 artworks on display at galleries citywide

_ (press release) _ Some of Ottawa’s best young artists will get the opportunity to display their artwork in three City of Ottawa community galleries starting April 21. Young at Art 2016 exhibits juried work by young artists between the ages of 12 and 19. To celebrate their talents, each gallery will host a vernissage. ** East ** ** Date ** : April 21 to May 16 Vernissage – Monday, April 25, 7 p.m. ** Location ** : Trinity Art Gallery – Shenkman Arts Centre, Lower Level 245 Centrum Boulevard ** ** ** Central ** ** Date ** : April 23 to May 16 Vernissage – Tuesday, April 26, 7 p.m. ** Location ** : Atrium Gallery and Nepean Fine Arts League Gallery, Ben Franklin Place 101 Centrepointe Drive ** ** ** West ** ** Date ** : April 23 to May 13 Vernissage – Wednesday, April 27, 7 p.m. ** Location ** : Kanata Civic Art Gallery – John G. Mlacak Centre, 2500 Campeau Drive ** ** Recognition for outstanding artwork for the east, west and central exhibitions will be presented at an awards night on Wednesday, May 25. The awards ceremony is open to participants and their families only, as well as participating teachers
