Welcome to the new OttawaStart!

After the trick-or-treaters went to bed last night, we went to work on the final steps to re-launch OttawaStart.com .

Besides a new logo and layout, here’s what else is new: [

A bigger emphasis on local events, including a new event calendar.

More emphasis on user-generated content. Anyone can post an event, press release, or add their site to our directory.

Mobile-friendly. Our site finally looks nice on mobile devices and tablets.

We launched OttawaStart way back in 1998 as a one-page resource full of useful links. We’ve changed a lot since then, but the core focus is the same: give local organizations and businesses a way to reach local readers, and give local readers great content that’s hard to find anywhere else.
