Video from Ottawa's polar bear dip on New Year's Day

Here’s some video from today’s polar bear dip (officially called the Sears Great Canadian Chill ). It took place this afternoon in the Ottawa River at Britannia Beach.

This article from the Ottawa Citizen says that about 300 people dipped themselves into the frigid water, and combined with an event in Toronto helped raise $15,000 for charity.
