The Ottawa chapter of Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO), a global peer-to-peer business organization, was pleased to host legendary entrepreneur and TV star Michele Romanow at an event last week at CIBC Wood Gundy’s downtown Ottawa office.

“We’re proud to be able to bring in Michele, who’s not only a world-class speaker and a Dragon from CBC’s Dragon’s Den, but also a world-class entrepreneur,” said Eva Cooper, EO Ottawa President and local business owner. “It’s great to get her to interact with our members and share some of her experience and knowledge.”

The event was organized as a learning and networking opportunity for EO members, who are all established local entrepreneurs with sizeable revenues. Founded in 1987, EO is network of more than 12,000+ influential business owners with 173 chapters in 54 countries that enables leading entrepreneurs to learn and grow.

“Her tenacity and vibrancy in business at such a young age is an inspiration, especially to the female founders among us,” added Cooper. “It carries on the message we share at Entrepreneurs' Organization.”

Romanow spoke on the necessity of embracing change, encouraging disruption, and incentivizing innovation at every stage of the game. The session was moderated by EO board member and local entrepreneur Karla Briones. Other influential EO board members in attendance included serial entrepreneur Govindh Jayaraman and Wakefield Mill Hotel & Spa Founder Robert Milling.
