Traffic restrictions at Queen and O’Connor intersection all weekend

Motorists should avoid the intersection of Queen and O’Connor streets this weekend, as lane closures will be in effect to allow for utilities relocation.

The work is part of the preparation for construction of the O-Train Confederation Line Parliament Station.

As of 7 p.m. Friday December 3 until the evening of Sunday December 6, the intersection will be fully closed to southbound traffic on O’Connor Street and east-west traffic along Queen Street. The only traffic turn available will be a right turn from Queen Street eastbound onto O’Connor Street southbound.

A signed detour will be in place. All vehicles including bicycles will need to use the detour. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

OC Transpo routes that run on Queen Street will be detoured. For more information, please visit octranspo.com .

This work is part of the O-Train Confederation Line light rail transit construction, and part of Ottawa on the Move. Ottawa on the Move is about keeping our community and economy moving forward through strategic investments in a number of transportation, water, and sewer projects to build a better city and create jobs.
