Might be time to start thinking about picking out some Pumpkins, too… ** All weekend: Carleton University Butterfly Show ** Nine-day show features 1,300 exotic butterflies , representing 41 different species worldwide. ** All weekend: Pumpkinferno at Upper Canada Village ** Might be worth a drive down to Upper Canada Village to see this display of around 7,000 hand-crafted pumpkins! ** All weekend: ** ** Ottawa Sausage Fest ** DELISH, nuff said. ** Until Oct. 16: Fall Rhapsody at Gatineau Park ** The fall foliage will brighten the Capital Region’s parks, pathways and shorelines with a spectacular display of colour—making this the perfect time to explore Gatineau Park and the Greenbelt. ** Oct. 6-8: Fringe20 Encore series ** Re-screenings of the films “JOE: The Perfect Man” and “Giant Invisible Robot.” Tickets are required. ** Oct. 7-9: Expressions of Art 2016 ** Autumn is a glorious season – crisp days and bright colours. Thanksgiving is a time to gather, eat and share! Join the WCAS for Expressions of Art at the Carp Fairgrounds – a weekend long event filled with fresh work from local professional artists. Make it your destination for breakfast. Or an afternoon pre/post Thanksgiving dinner! There is something for everyone, with free admission and plenty of parking. ** Oct. 8: 3 on 3 in the 613 Basketball Tournament and Urban Jam ** Join us for Ottawa’s largest 3-on-3 basketball tournament and Urban Jam in support of Auesome Ottawa and Hera Mission. 120+ teams from novice kids through men’s and women’s elite, DJs, live graffiti, African culture, a pro dunker and more.  Be a part of our diverse celebration of basketball and urban life. ** Oct. 8: Final Beechwood farmer’s market ** Stop by for the last Beechwoof farmer’s market of the year! ** Oct 8: uOttawa League of Legends Tournament ** First one of the year. NEEEERDS! ** Oct. 8-9: Chance Foundation ‘Craft of Giving’ Fair ** Chance Foundation is holding it’s second annual craft fair; all the proceeds will go towards kids’ programs in the Ottawa community. Cost of entry is a minimum $2 donation. There will be entertainment, drinks, raffles, and more than 120 vendors! Come out and support this great cause, and get in some early Christmas shopping!
