4 May 2011 / #pedestrians There are over 40 Jane's Walk events planned for Ottawa this weekend (May 7 & 8)** Here’s the list of events/activities. ** (Thanks to Frugal Fun Ottawa for the pointer.)[ ](http://www.janeswalkottawa.ca/img/header-en.png) From the Jane’s Walk Ottawa web site : “Jane’s Walk is a festival of free neighbourhood walking tours given by locals who care passionately about where they live, work and play. Jane’s Walk is a pedestrian-focused event that improves urban literacy by offering insights into local history, planning, design, and civic engagement through the simple act of walking and observing.” Named for Jane Jacobs , an activist who “championed a fresh, community-based approach to understanding, organizing, designing, and building cities”.If you’re taking part or organizing one of the events, I’d be interested in seeing your photos & hearing your stories.
