8 December 2014 / #FIFA World Cup #museum The Canadian Museum of History hosts the first phase of the largest women's sporting event in CanadaThe Canadian Museum of History is proud to have been selected by the National Organising Committee for the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) Women’s World Cup to host the Final Draw for the FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015™. On December 6, the finalists will learn who they will face in the FIFA Women’s World Cup – which will take place in Canada next summer – and where they will be playing. The announcement will be made in the Museum of History’s Theatre. “The Museum is pleased to welcome the organizers of the FIFA World Cup and to host the Final Draw of the first-ever Women’s World Cup to be presented in Canada,” said Mark O’Neill, President and CEO of the Museum of History. “We are proud to take part in this important moment in the history of sport in Canada.”The FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015™ will take place from June 6 to July 5, 2015,with matches played in Edmonton (Alberta), Winnipeg (Manitoba), Ottawa (Ontario),Montréal (Quebec), Moncton (New Brunswick) and Vancouver (British Columbia).
