TEDxKanata Launches Call for Speakers Nominations accepted until August 30

TEDxKanata launches its Call for Speakers for next year’s event that will take place on March 31

, 2016. Nominations are being accepted until August 30

th

2015 and can be entered on the TEDxKanata website. With the enormous success of last year’s event, 2016 promises to push the boundaries a little further with a larger audience and equally engaging speakers.

The event will be held at the Brookstreet Hotel on Legget Drive in Kanata, an ideal venue for another exciting TEDxKanata. The Kanata North BIA along with the TEDxKanata team are already planning activities to support the event.

“I am excited about organizing another TEDxKanata in our area,” said Jenna Sudds, Executive Director of Kanata North. “Our first step is to round up nominations for the speakers, and we are asking for assistance from the community to nominate candidates for TEDxKanata 2016. There is a simple nomination form that is available on the TEDxKanata website open for anyone to fill out.”

Guidelines for the speakers are outlined in the TEDxKanata Blog and are based on “The TED Commandments”: An ideal speaker will make us think, ignite our emotions, but most importantly have an extraordinary “idea worth spreading”. The theme for next year’s TEDxKanata is ‘Breaking Barriers’ and speakers are welcome to create a talk that may compliment or support the theme.
