Sussex Drive to reopen to four lanes

On Saturday, December 13, Sussex Drive will fully reopen to two lanes in each direction, between St. Patrick Street and King Edward Avenue. All four lanes of traffic will remain open throughout the winter months, with some intermittent lane reductions during off-peak traffic periods for utility work.

In the spring of 2015, construction work will resume on Sussex Drive to complete the remaining street amenities, including landscaping, intersection improvements and final paving. Lane reductions will occur in both directions during that work period.

The Sussex Drive Integrated Road, Sewer and Watermain Rehabilitation Project is an Ottawa on the Move initiative scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2015. Ottawa on the Move is about keeping our community and economy moving forward through strategic investments in a number of transportation, water, and sewer projects to build a better city and create jobs.
