Suspect in weekend homicide arrested

_ (press release) _ (Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Major Crime Section has arrested a 27-year-old man in relation to a homicide early this morning at the corner of St. Laurent Blvd. and Ogilvie Rd.

Police and emergency responders were called to the scene at about 2:30 a.m. where they found Solomon Odekunle, 21, suffering from stab wounds.

Odekunle died of his injuries.

The person in custody is expected to appear in court tomorrow.

All roads in the area of St. Laurent Blvd. and Ogilvie Rd. are now open.
