24 November 2014 / #Fashion #OCDSB Strut Fashion Show John McCrae Secondary School** Strut Fashion Show ** ** John ** ** ** ** McCrae ** ** ** ** Secondary School ** ** Thursday, November 27 ** ** 7pm ** ** 103 Malvern Drive **The Third Annual, Strut Fashion Show is scheduled to take to the stage this Thursday, November 24th at7pm. The event takes place at John McCrae Secondary School, located in Barrhaven. What makes this fashion so unique is that that all of the designs, all of the custom creations, all of the sound, lighting and music are the work of the students. You will see clothing made from everything from CD’s to window blinds. The stage show is student focused and student run with the assistance of parent volunteers and staff. The program features not only fashion, but poetry, dance, music and a bake sale! Lead parent volunteer, Jill Reeves says, “The STRUT Fashion Show is a creative collaboration of students from all grades at John McCrae Secondary School (JMSS). Over 100, students come together to put on a multi-discipline art show.” The Strut Fashion Show is an annual event which is supported by the JMSS School Council and raises funds for students in need of basic necessities within the JMSS community. Funds are administered by Student Services at their discretion. This years’ fundraising goal is 2,000 dollars. To date, the event has raised $3,400 for students in need. The theme of Strut Fashion Show 2014 - is “retro”. The show gets underway at7pmthisThursday, Nov. 27th.
