 Character Performers - Ottawa Senators Hockey Club (Kanata, ON)

**

** PRIMARY OBJECTIVE ** To create memorable moments with our fans and guests at each appearance in the community or  game at Canadian Tire Centre.  Members of the character performer team are responsible for helping to bring Senators characters to life prior to, and during, Senators games and throughout the community at events and functions. ** ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS ** •    Follow the Mascot code of ethics at all times •    Responsible for  ensuring that each character is presentable and in good condition at all times •    Responsible for the preparation of game day props and accessories •    Ensure that the character is presentable and fully dressed to meet fans a minimum of one hour prior to the drop of the puck •    During the games, the character is required to be present in specified arena sections to perform prearranged activities •    Provide entertainment during intermissions when required •    Ensure all game day equipment and props are properly stored and secured after each game •    Attend game-day rehearsals when necessary •    Perform in various videos for in-game, on-line or television use •    Participate in various community appearances, photo shoots, meet and greets and promotional activities        as determined by the hockey club •    Assist with developing and creating various game entertainment ideas and special events ** QUALIFICATIONS ** •    Must be able to provide a clear criminal record check •    Intimate knowledge and understanding of hockey and ice sports is essential •    Must be a strong skater •    Must be able to carry a 50lb back pack while running or skating •    Must be available to work weekends, nights and holidays •    College or university graduate or student •    Proficient oral and written communication skills •    Bilingualism an asset •    Team player
