1 February 2015 / #coyote #ncc Safety Advisory: Coyote on Woodroffe in the Greenbelt_ Canada’s Capital Region _ — Following up on reports about a coyote on south Woodroffe Avenue in the Greenbelt, the National Capital Commission (NCC) advises residents and farmers to increase their safety measures as it relates to animals, livestock and pets and to keep them indoors at night.Hikers, snowshoers, cross-country skiers and all users of the Greenbelts should stay on official trails and keep their dogs on a leash.The National Capital Commission’s Conservation Officers will continue to monitor the area and will work with municipal and provincial authorities.The NCC calls on everyone who sees a coyote to call the emergency line 613-239-5353
