27 December 2015 / #Freezing #gladstone REVIEW: Freezing at the Gladstone (as evaluated by an eight-year-old)[caption id=“attachment_19868” align=“aligncenter” width=“800”] Krisco (Chad Connell) and Beavertail (Cara Pantalone) from _ Freezing: The Musical _ [/caption] Last weekend our family went to see ** _ Freezing _ ** at the Gladstone Theatre. It’s billed as “a fun-filled musical fairy tale for the whole family”, packed full of songs and bad puns. This is the second year for the show, and our second year watching. Our eight-year-old daughter Maddie wrote a review: * Great use of songs, especially the Ice Man. It was really good how they used pop songs and made them about ice. * Good for lots of ages. * Loved the actors, they were very into the scene. * Great use of props, like the tables and the tree stump. * Much better than last year's show. * All the scenes kind of went together, but some leave you with questions like the Justin Trudeau scene. * Costumes are well done. * I liked the way that they kept the audience involved. * I think that Hans should be more evil. * Great "sisters" song. (I was there at the show with my sister.) * Ice Man was great. * Use of the background screen for videos was good. * Good band. * Awesome story. * Do it again next year. _ Freezing _ runs until January 4 at the Gladstone Theatre.
