Queensway on-ramp at Pinecrest to close until November for LRT stage 2 construction

The on-ramp from Pinecrest Road northbound to Highway 417 westbound will close for Stage 2 LRT work starting at midnight on Monday, March 1. It will remain closed until November. Signed detours will be in place through the duration of construction. Cycling and pedestrian routes will remain open.

The following detours will be in effect during the closure:

From Pinecrest Road north of Highway 417

• Turn left on Richmond Rd

• Enter Hwy 417 at Richmond Rd on-ramp

  

From Greenbank Road south of Highway 417

• Turn left on Baseline Rd

• Turn right on Richmond Rd

• Turn left on Holly Acres Rd

• Enter Hwy 417 at Holly Acres on-ramp

  

Additional ramp closures will be required this spring at Moodie Drive and this fall at Pinecrest. The westbound off-ramp at Pinecrest will be closed for 19 months, from approximately Fall 2021 to Summer 2023. Details for each closure and the detours in place will be provided before the work begins. The Stage 2 O-Train West Extension will run in a trench on the north side of Highway 417, travelling underneath Pinecrest and Moodie.
