Queen Street from Bank to O’Connor closed to traffic for six days starting Monday

_ (press release) _ Beginning Monday, March 28 at 7 a.m, and continuing until Saturday, April 2 at 10 p.m., Queen Street between Bank and O’Connor streets will be closed to general traffic as crews work to relocate city watermains and storm and sanitary sewers in front of 155 Queen Street (Heritage Place).

The work is part of the preparation for construction of Parliament Station for the O-Train Confederation Line Light Rail Transit Project.

Businesses along the affected block will remain open.

Some overnight work will be required, however no overnight work will happen on Easter Monday, March 28.

A signed detour will be in place. Through-traffic, including bicycles, will need to use the detour. Local access to underground parking and facilities, including loading docks, will be maintained. Pedestrian access will be maintained but pedestrians may also need to follow signed detours at times.
