Police seek public assistance to locate a missing boater

The Ottawa Police Service is seeking public assistance in locating missing boater Nicola Colasante, 57 years old of Ottawa. A family member last spoke to him at approx. 10:00am this morning.

At approximately 11:30am, a call for service was received about a boat without anyone on board. First responders attended the Rideau River near Highway 416. A boat was located under the bridge registered to Colasante and his personal belongings were in the boat.

He is described as a Caucasian male, 5'8" (173cm), 200lbs (91kg), short grey hair and balding on top. He was wearing beige shorts, a white T-shirt and brown flip-flops (see picture).
