PHOTOS: Fireworks at Canadian Museum of History

Firework shows will light up the night sky in Ottawa for the next two weeks, during Casino du Lac-Leamy’s Sound Of Light.

The series kicked off Saturday night with the first show, on the grounds of the Canadian Museum of History.

Four international pyrotechnical firms are putting on one show each, hoping theirs will be recognized as the best. The winner, or winners, will receive the Zeus trophy - one of the highest awards in their industry.

Since its inception in 1996, Sound Of Light has become renowned for being one of the best fireworks events in the world.
