** Thursday, October 15: natureTASTES: beer ** Discover the botanical diversity at play inside every sip of beer, whiskey, wine, and gin, in a series of tutored tastings led by Museum experts. On October 15, join botanist Paul Sokoloff and some of the best loved names in local craft beer for a whole new look at—and taste of— what’s going on inside your favourite pint. Representatives from Beau’s, Big Rig, Mill Street and Kichesippi breweries will answer questions while presenting their proudest offerings. The samples are paired with edibles that enhance the unique characteristics of each beer. _ (Sponsored) _ ** Friday, October 16: Ottawa International Film Festival ** The 2015 OIFF is being held from Friday, October 16 to Sunday, October 18 at various locations in the downtown core. This annual event now in its 6th year, which is the largest of its kind in North America, will feature a great lineup of screenings, workshops, presentations and a panel conference series for film buffs and art lovers alike. What started as two kick IT events during our 2013/14 season quickly became three. All sold out so fast that we made sure to add one more this season for a grand total of four kick IT events in our 2015/16 season!
