Cold War Cinema is back at the Diefenbunker showing the visitors' favourite James Bond movie. Will it be a Connery classic? Or maybe it’ll feature Roger Moore. You really can’t go wrong with Bond. The Diefenbunker will survey its visitors and members to pick the most popular Bond movie. The movie starts at 7pm, with an optional guided tour at 6pm. Tour and film is $15. The second edition of a new spoken word poetry series. sounds like great fun & a fundraiser for raise money for community programs in East Africa._Amanda Earl , Bywords _**** ** Friday, May 30-Sunday, June 1: Gatineau Beer Fest** Better known as the Festibière, will be taking over the Jacques-Cartier Park for its 4th annual edition. This year, 55 artisans and over 350 beers will be presented to the public. The event will also feature live shows by Radio Radio, Damien Robitaille and the Mackenzie Rhythm Section along with animations and workshops on beer and beer-making. Make sure you check out this event if you’re a beer lover, you certainly won’t regret it!_ – Eliane Laberge, Eventful Capital _**** ** Friday, May 30: Music, Art, Food and Drinks for Asinabka Festival **This party has live music—drum group Frazier Whiteduck and the Capital, DJ Jas Nasty, Elizabeth Riley Band, Dynamite Motel, Erin Adair and The Gallop—as well as an art auction and refreshments. It’s a fundraiser for the annual Asinabka Film & Media Arts Festival, which shows work by independent artists that reflects Indigenous issues and cultures. It’s also an opportunity to see Gallery 101’s new space (51 B Young St. in Little Italy). 7 p.m.; entry pay-what-you-can or donation. Capital Vox, Ottawa’s community jazz choir, riffs off NYC in its concert this Saturday, with a program of songs inspired by the city – including jazz compositions, Broadway standards, and popular songs by Joni Mitchell, Billy Joel, and Paul Simon.
