** ARTS: ** If you haven’t already checked out First Thursday Art Walks this would be a great time to do so. Self-guided tours run from 5-9pm on, you guessed it, the 1st Thursday of the month or you can join the professionally guided tour at 7pm at the Fritzi Gallery (second floor of the Irving Greenberg Theatre Centre, home of the Great Canadian Theatre Company ). The galleries are all located in lovely Wellington West which is also home to dozens of restaurants, coffee shops and boutiques you can enjoy before or after your walk. Make a night of it; enjoy the fall weather and local art before the s**w comes!

BUTTERFLIES: ** The Annual Butterfly Show at Carleton continues this week and ends on Thanksgiving Monday. The biology department’s greenhouses are open to the public from 9 am to 4 pm in the Nesbitt Biology Building, and admission is free. Bring orange sections to tempt the butterflies, and wear red - I’m told that they’re attracted to that color! **
