Ottawa Singer/Cosplayer goes viral as Genie from Aladdin!

Local singer, Chantale Sauvé, is enjoying viral internet success with her latest karaoke duet, this time performing _ Friend Like Me _ from Aladdin, as the Genie with R&B singer/songwriter Ne-Yo. Their duet has surpassed ** one million views ** on Facebook and is still rising. Watch the duet with Ne-Yo Sauvé, a lifelong singer and avid cosplayer, has been using Smule’s _ Sing! _ app for almost two years, recently hitting ** 15,000 followers ** . She holds the distinction of being the first Sing! user to incorporate elaborate cosplay into her songs, singing Disney tunes as both Anna and Elsa from Frozen, Ariel and Ursula from The Little Mermaid, as well as paying tribute to superstars like Madonna and Lady Gaga (and even Ron Burgundy).

“I’m overwhelmed by the support and community I’ve found online,” Sauvé says. “I just love singing with people around the world and watching adults be like big kids with me in their makeup and costumes.”
