11 January 2016 / #Ottawa Public Health #smoke-free by-laws Ottawa Public Health seeking feedback on updating Ottawa’s smoke-free by-laws_ (via City of Ottawa) _ Ottawa Public Health (OPH) is seeking feedback from residents and stakeholders on proposed options to protect the public from the harms of second-hand smoke and vapour from the smoking of non-tobacco combustible substances and the use of electronic cigarettes in public places and workplaces.The Let’s Clear the Air 2.0 consultation plan includes potential new regulations relating to the use of water-pipes and electronic cigarettes in public establishments. These changes, if adopted by Council, would impact existing by-laws in place to help protect residents from the harms of second-hand smoke.Starting January 11, 2016, residents and stakeholders can share their views:· Online at ottawa.ca/tobacco.
