As of Wednesday, Hydro Ottawa says power has been restored to 120,000 customers. "As your power is restored, we'd like to remind residents to conserve their use of energy and avoid turning on all electronics and appliances to avoid impacting the electricity supply," the utility says.Emergency Reception Centres OpenThe City of Ottawa has opened several emergency reception centres, which are open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. for residents to recharge, shower and washrooms.The following facilities offer power for charging devices, showers and washrooms, food and Red Cross:CARDELREC Recreation Complex Goulbourn, at 1500 Shea Road (Wifi available).François Dupuis Recreation Centre, at 2263 Portobello Boulevard (Wifi available).Howard Darwin Centennial Arena, at 1765 Merivale Road.Hunt Club-Riverside Park Community Centre, at 3320 Paul Anka Drive (Wifi available).These facilities have power for charging devices, showers and washrooms:Plant Recreation Centre, at 930 Somerset Street West (Wifi available)Richmond Arena, at 6095 Perth Street (Wifi available)J.A. "Priority for food waste will be given to most of Stittsville in Ward 6, all communities in Ward 9 that have lost power, the Riverside Park and Mooney's Bay area in Ward 16 and the villages of Navan, Cumberland and Sarsfield in Ward 19."
