Seriously.  Ottawa’s Kelp Records is releasing a new recording from the HILOTRONS (also from Ottawa) not on CD, not on cassette, not on vinyl … but on a plastic Fisher Price record.  Here’s the press release:

This week, Kelp Records will commemorate the Toronto edition of the [ International Label Market ](https://go.madmimi.com/redirects/1370959388-1978f7c5fb50924aeb44d9aed45973b8-954cee6?pa=455907659696455660) by releasing the world’s first original double-sided record for the Fisher Price Music Box format!

Kp 073 includes versions of “My Number” and “Not There Tonight,” two tracks from HILOTRONS’ recent full-length release _ At Least There’s Commotion _ . Handcrafted in Surrey, UK by Fred Murphy, this double-sided Fisher Price disc is a unique and extremely rare collector’s item, and marks the first time that original compositions have appeared in a double-sided Fisher Price Music Box disc format. Only 5 copies of this disc have been manufactured!

Kelp will be offering 5 exclusive packages at the ILM for $99 which include:

  *
 one copy of Kp 073 for Fisher Price record format

  *
 one Fisher Price record player, complete with the original Fisher Price disc collection

  *
 one 180g vinyl copy of HILOTRONS’ “At Least There’s Commotion” (includes download code for full album)
*Please note this disc will only play on the ORIGINAL Fisher Price record players from the 70s/80s, not the bad knockoff versions now available at Urban Outfitters.
HILOTRONS’ next scheduled performance is at the [ River & Sky Festival ](https://go.madmimi.com/redirects/1370959388-7e543fc6de7a2788dc3b800de242144d-954cee6?pa=455907659696455660) on July 20th in Sudbury, ON.

The International Label Market will be held in conjunction with NXNE on Ryerson University’s Campus Common in Toronto Saturday June 15th from 11am to 4pm.
