If the answer is yes – the opportunity may be closer than you think for students and staff of the OCDSB. ** OCENET/EFO International Study Abroad Bursary ** Our students make a difference at home and around the World. Thanks to the Ottawa-Carleton Education Network, a new bursary has been established to support and encourage students to engage in cultural exchange, international learning and the development of global competencies. With the Support of OCENET, when a student has committed to extending their learning through an international experience but their family can’t afford to unlock the opportunity, they can reach out to the Education Foundation (EFO) of Ottawa for support. Any OCDSB secondary student who meets the minimum eligibility criteria can apply. Bursaries of $1000 are available. This bursary is meant to support and encourage OCDSB staff members in their pursuit of professional development in the area(s) of cultural proficiency, global competency, and global citizenship initiatives. Bursaries are available for $500 or $1000. Applications for this bursary will be accepted on January 1, 2015 & May 1, 2015.
