NCC Safety Advisory - Reopening of trails in the Greenbelt

The National Capital Commission (NCC) took preventative measures this week and advised residents, farmers and users of the Greenbelt to be extra cautious as there had been, last weekend, an incident involving an attack on a horse in the Woodroffe Avenue area of the Greenbelt. Since then, monitoring of the area has been ongoing and no incidents or sightings were reported.

As a result, trails in the Greenbelt — trail 31 (accessible from P14), trail 32 (accessible from P15) and the Greenbelt Pathway West — will reopen to the public tomorrow. The NCC is satisfied that the public and trail users can safely resume their regular activities as safety concerns are no longer an issue in the area.
