Music, food and fun on the menu at City Hall

Ottawa residents are invited to mark their calendars to visit City Hall on Wednesday, May 13, for some hot food and cool music during the ** Street Food Showcase ** , in partnership with the Capital Street Food Association. ** ** ** Date ** : Wednesday, May 13 ** Time ** : noon to 2 p.m. ** Place ** : Ottawa City Hall, Marion Dewar Plaza

Many street food vendors – including six of Ottawa’s newest – will be on site selling their innovative culinary creations to mark the beginning of the 2015 vending season. In addition to these on-street vendors, there are new food trucks and trailers for residents to discover on private property throughout the City.

To further enhance the ** Street Food Showcase ** , live music will be performed by select Ottawa musicians who are part of the inaugural #ottmusik program. #ottmusik showcases original music from Ottawa artists for people who call 3-1-1 and are placed on hold.

There is no admission fee for this event. Vendors will sell food to individual customers just as they would on the street and will donate 10 per cent of sales to the Ottawa Food Bank. The ** Street Food Showcase ** will take place rain or shine.
