29 July 2015 / #construction #lane reduction Montreal Road reduced to one lane at Ogilvie RoadMontreal Road is closed to eastbound vehicular traffic at Ogilvie Road. Westbound traffic is reduced to one lane. The lane closures are in place to allow for repairs of a broken watermain and a section of road that collapsed as a result. City of Ottawa crews are now working to repair the damaged pipe and roadway. Commuters are reminded to use alternate routes where possible. Detour signage is in place to guide motorists. From Montreal Road eastbound, turn right on Elmsmere Road, then left on Elmridge Drive, and finally left on Ogilvie Road back to Montreal Road. A Variable Message Sign has been installed to provide any updated information. A detour is also in effect for OC Transpo route 12 eastbound until further notice. Further details are available at OC Transpo Detours . Water service to properties in the surrounding area has not been interrupted and there is no impact on the quality of the City’s drinking water.
