4 March 2015 / #cinema #culture Mirror Mountain Film Festival invites public to get involvedThe Mirror Mountain Film Festival is excited to announce a new opportunity for Ottawa’s cinema lovers. We are inviting the public to get involved and help make the festival the best it can be by participating in a fundraising campaign that will help bring world-class filmmakers and other special film industry guests to Ottawa for talks, a panel discussion and networking opportunities. The festival is offering patrons plenty of great rewards to thank them for their support, including all-access passes, special acknowledgements in festival materials, and an invitation to a VIP brunch with the filmmakers. What’s it all about?Mirror Mountain is a new film festival that aims to bring the very best in independent, underground, and alternative cinema to Canada’s capital. We want to provide the people of Ottawa with an inclusive festival that welcomes all types of films and brings together all types of people to share in the collective cinema experience. We also want Mirror Mountain to provide a valuable service and advantage for filmmakers at all stages of their careers. In addition to film screenings, Mirror Mountain will offer networking events, Q&A sessions, a panel discussion and other activities that provide professional development opportunities for filmmakers. When and where?Mirror Mountain will take place from December 4th - 6th 2015 and will consist of an eclectic selection of film screenings and other special events. All events will take place in the intimate and friendly space of Club SAW, one of Ottawa’s most beloved and longstanding underground venues for alternative art, film, music and performance. The campaignMirror Mountain has recently launched a fundraising campaign on Indiegogo to raise funds that will help make the festival a special and unforgettable experience for audience and filmmaker alike. Contributions from the public will go directly towards travel and accommodation for filmmakers, guest speakers and industry professionals, printing costs for a beautifully-designed festival catalogue, and live entertainment at our opening night party. These festival features will benefit not only the participating filmmakers and artists, but the people of Ottawa as well, by providing them with a valuable, educational, entertaining and enriching cultural experience.Visit the campaign page at: [ igg.me/at/MirrorMountain ](http://igg.me/at/MirrorMountain) For more information, or to arrange an interview, please contact: Christopher Rohde Festival Director mirrormountainfilmfest@gmail.com
