Rounding out the Make a Kid Smile campaign in the Nation’s Capital, the team at Manoir Ronald McDonald House Ottawa helped to deliver gifts from A Parent Media Co. Inc. (Kidoodle.TV), the Crist Family Foundation and Hasbro, Inc. The gifts included 15 Samsung Galaxy 3 tablets loaded with Kidoodle.TV subscriptions and a mountain of toys from Hasbro, Inc.

Tablets donated by Tom Crist and his family through the Crist Family Foundation were loaded with Kidoodle.TV subscriptions and will be available for families to use during their stay at the House. All families will have access to the tablets and their own, new Kidoodle.TV account, which can be played through multiple devices. The House will make good use of the toys donated by Hasbro to help brighten the days of children staying there. Additionally, A Parent Media Co. Inc. (“APMC”), owner of Kidoodle.TV, will provide complimentary annual subscriptions to Ronald McDonald House Charities® Canada for every annual Kidoodle.TV subscription purchased by consumers until December 31, 2014.

Manoir Ottawa Ronald McDonald House® is dedicated to helping families be together during one of life’s most stressful times . . . having a sick child. Providing a caring and supportive “home away from home”, the House strives to be an oasis of peace and hope.

“We are all delighted and quite overwhelmed with this incredibly generous donation of Samsung Galaxy 3 Tablets to our House by the Crist Family Foundation and featuring Kidoodle TV. There will be smiles of delight from the children currently staying at the House and those who will be with us in the future,” said Carol Houston, Executive Director of the House. “From all of us at Manoir Ronald McDonald House Ottawa . . . THANK YOU for making a difference in the lives of the families who call our House ‘Home’!”

The donors were pleased to have the opportunity to work with the House to make the day just a little bit brighter for kids and families undergoing a difficult time. Mike Lowe, President of APMC and founder of Kidoodle.TV said, “Ronald McDonald House and Kidoodle.TV are both safe places for children, and it is an honor to work with the Crist Family Foundation, Hasbro and the RMH team to bring smiles to these children and their families.”

Recently making a multi-million dollar personal investment in Kidoodle.TV’s parent company, APMC, with his charitable foundation the intended beneficiary, Tom Crist and his family continue to work with Kidoodle.TV to find ways to reach out and better the lives of children and families. “To see what these kids and families go through is humbling and heart-wrenching,” said Crist. “We want to find ways to help.”
