8 September 2016 / #firearms #kanata Man charged after threats made with gun in Kanata_ (press release) _ (Ottawa) –The Ottawa Police Service Guns and Gangs Unit have charged an Ottawa man for numerous firearm offences.On September 8that approximately 2:45am, officers attended the Roland Michener Drive area for a call for service involving a male with a gun making threats. The male left the premises prior to police arrival, but was arrested shortly after. No shots were fired, and no person was injured.Patrick KOOL MONTECATINE, 22 years old of Ottawa, is facing charges of: * Use of firearm * Careless use of firearm, weapon, prohibited device * Pointing a firearm x 2 * Possession of a weapon * Failure to comply with a recognizance x 2 * Common nuisance * Uttering threats cause bodily harm x 2 He will be in show cause court today.Anyone with information regarding this investigation is asked to call Ottawa Police’s Guns and Gangs Unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 5050.
