Maintenance Work on the Portage Bridge: Partial Closures of the HOV Lanes

Maintenance work on the lanes for high-occupancy vehicles (HOV) on the Portage Bridge will take place from Monday, October 26 to Friday, October 30, 2015, outside peak hours, from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm.

The work will be undertaken on a 250-metre portion of the HOV lanes in both directions, alternately. The two other lanes of the Portage Bridge will remain open in both directions at all times during the work.

This work might impede the flow of cycling traffic in the bike lane next to the northbound HOV lane going toward Gatineau. Pedestrians will be able to use the sidewalk at all times. Signage will be installed in the work area to inform users about the impacts of the work.

The NCC urges motorists, cyclists and pedestrians to exercise caution and to respect work crews and equipment, and obey flag persons and signage at the site.
