LOCAL Public Eatery to open in the Park

 Come December 4, 2014 Lansdowne will see a new addition to the Park. Sort of like your living room with the addition of people serving you, LOCAL Public Eatery will be opening in the Glebe. Offering up straightforward classics, rotating taps and a laid back atmosphere LOCAL is a lot like a home away from home.










 The warm wood, leather booths and central bar offer a casual and comfortable setting while the shuffleboard inside and bocce court on the patio will add an air of excitement. With high-definition TV screens throughout, daily drink specials, and a variety of menu offerings their goal is to be the go-to spot for game days.










 “Come by for a bite before you head to the game, we’d love to meet you,” said Manon Paquin, Manager of LOCAL, “if you are looking for a game of your own the shuffleboard and bocce court are a great place to start.”










 LOCAL will not only air games but will be supporting local teams through sponsoring their leagues. “We are excited to be a real part of the community.”










 LOCAL isn’t just excited about game days, they can’t wait to start serving up their dishes in the Glebe.










 “Whether you are looking for share plates, a hearty burger or a place to brunch we have you covered,” said Vinoth Punniyaratnam, Chef of LOCAL, “We look at ways we can put a unique and personal touch on classics. All our burgers are pressed-to-order and made with buns we bake in house daily.”










 On the weekend, LOCAL Public Eatery will be featuring Recovery Room Sundays with classic hangover cures like huevos rancheros, fried egg sandwiches and caesars served in a boot.










 In addition to the caesars, LOCAL has an array of cocktails made with fresh squeezed juice, wine on tap and a straightforward beer menu that rotates seasonally while also featuring local favourites.










 “It’s important to us to feature local breweries on our menu, we are excited to be a real part of this community,” said Manon, “ We have been getting to know our neighbours and we look forward to serving the Glebe and participating and supporting in community events.”
