Ontario election: Who won, who lost in Ottawa

A blue wave hit most of Ontario Thursday night, including much of Ottawa. Here’s a summary of the winners and the losers from last night.

  • Yasir Naqvi (Liberal) lost his Ottawa Centre seat to Joel Harden (NDP).
  • Jeremy Roberts (PC) triumphed in Ottawa West-Nepean, defeating Chandra Pasma (NDP) by a hair. Incumbent Liberal Bob Chiarelli came in third.
  • Incumbent Trillium Jack MacLaren lost Kanata-Carleton to the PC’s Merilee Fullerton.
  • Carleton went to Goldie Ghamari (PC) by a landslide.
  • Lisa MacLeod (PC) was re-elected in Nepean.
  • Liberals Nathalie Des Rosiers, John Fraser and Marie-France Lalonde retained their seats in Ottawa-Vanier, Ottawa South and Orléans, respectively.
  • Glengarry-Prescott-Russell flipped red to blue, electing Amanda Simard. There was no incumbent as former Liberal MPP Grant Crack resigned.
