Lane reductions planned on Riverside Drive for construction

Lane reductions on Riverside Drive are required to complete construction work on the Alta Vista Hospital Link construction project. On Friday, May 22,to Monday, May 24 and Friday, May 29 to Monday, June 1 one lane will be closed in both directions on sections of Riverside Drive, from Smyth Road to Hinks Lane. One lane of traffic will remain open in either direction at all times.

These lane closures are required for the installation of a major storm pipe along Riverside Drive as well as bridge foundation construction. These lane reductions will occur during the weekend to minimize impacts to weekday commuter traffic. Traffic medium impacts are expected and signs will be in place alerting motorists and cyclists of the closures.
