Lament for the 6th Round Pick

The Ottawa Senators made one trade today, acquiring Martin Lapointe from the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for a 6th round pick.

The fans over on HFBoards.com have a really funny thread going titled “6th Round Pick Appreciation Thread”, lamenting the pick that the Sens will ever know.

"While it's true that we never saw the best of what you had to offer, let me be the first to give you a pat on the back for all of the potential you've given us over the years.  We're going to miss you, 6th round pick."
