Here’s a special weather statement from Environment Canada , issued earlier today at 4:00pm (emphasis is mine):** Messy mix of winter precipitation just in time for spring. **An Alberta clipper like low over Northwest Minnesota will track east over Thunder Bay to Lake Superior by morning... ** As the low sails east across the upper Great Lakes into Eastern Ontario, an expanding area of precipitation will spread into Northeastern Ontario tonight. ** Precipitation will be various Mixtures of wet snow and rain near the upper Great Lakes which will limit snowfall accumulations. A little freezing drizzle or Even brief freezing rain is also possible in areas that experience the transition between wet snow and rain or drizzle. Inland across much of Northeastern Ontario latest indications are suggesting a 10 cm snow event by Monday morning.Precipitation will end over Northwestern Ontario by Monday morning and Northeastern Ontario by Monday night as the low moves towards New England. ** Motorists should be prepared for poor winter driving conditions due to low visibility in heavier snow and untreated roads becoming snow covered and slippery. **At least it’ll be warm - the forecast high is 0C or above for the rest of the week.****** See also: ** Ottawa Weather Guide
