16 March 2015 / #arts Free School / École libreNow in its fourth edition, _ Free School _ is a free lecture and workshop series geared toward professional visual and media artists working in the Ottawa and Gatineau regions. Providing an exceptional opportunity to delve into a curriculum that few learning institutions deliver, _ Free School _ features leaders in various fields related to the arts, who will speak to artists in practical terms on a wide range of subjects.For this edition, Galerie SAW Gallery will also present a series of videos produced by the Association des groupes en arts visuels francophones (AGAVF) as part of the project _ L’art visuel s’écrit _ , which aims to foster art writing and curating in Francophone minority communities in Canada. These videos, which feature critics, artists and curators Marie-Ève Beaupré, Sylvie Cotton, Nicole Gingras, Nicolas Mavrikakis, Gaëtane Verna and Joëlle Zask, will be projected in Galerie SAW Gallery’s project space for the duration of _ Free School _ . _ ** All events are presented free-of-charge!
