​The countdown is on as Ottawa gets ready to host the Sweetest Festival ever in celebrate Canada’s 150th Birthday. The Great Canadian Maple Festival taps it off March 3-5, at Festival Plaza, beside Ottawa City Hall and admission is FREE.

Located in the centre of Canada’s Capital, Maple Festival will feature everything maple including a pancake breakfast presented Enbridge, all kinds of delicious sweetwater, cotton candy, maple donuts, poutine, bacon & more bacon, craft maple beer & whisky, beer gardens, live music, a kids fun zone, chainsaw challenge, lumberjack competition, s’mores on a stick, a big pancake breakfast as well as a few sweet surprises soon to be announced.

For three days, the 1st annual Maple Festival will treat sweet seekers to a plaid wearing Canadiana experience complete with it’s own urban sugar bush serving taffy on a stick, maple pork and beans, and delicious maple flavoured hot cocoa.

The Great Canadian Maple Festival is the sweetest place to be to celebrate Canada’s 150th Birthday, proclaims Festival Director, Leslie Gagne. It’s going to be an amazing weekend of everything maple, family fun, and plenty of Canadian Goodness for everyone to enjoy”.
