Driver charged in death of cyclist on Laurier Avenue last week

_ (press release) _ (Ottawa)-Ottawa Police Collision Investigators have charged the driver of the September 1st collision at the intersection of Laurier Avenue West and Lyon Street North involving a large truck and a cyclist.

The cyclist, a 23 year old female, succumbed to her injuries at the scene.

Steven Bruce CONLEY, 38 years old of Ottawa is charged with Criminal Negligence Causing death and Dangerous Driving causing death in relation to this investigation.

CONLEY was released on a promise to appear and is scheduled to appear in court on October 3rd, 2016.

The investigation continues and the matter is now before the courts; as such no further information can be released.
