Do you have any old hockey sticks in your basement?

This note came in the other day from Ottawa sports historian Jim McAuley:

_ Hi Folks, _
_
_

_ Our friend Glen Richardson is in a bit of a dilemma. _

_ You may know that Glen has a hobby of making mini chairs out of wooden hockey sticks.  He makes these chairs available to various charity organizations for their fund-raising activities. _
_ With the popularity of composite sticks now, there is a shortage of wooden sticks in which to create his chairs.  Since his son, Luke, retired after 21 seasons in the NHL, and currently coaching the Binghamton Senators in the American Hockey League, Glen is running out of sources for his wooden sticks. _
_ If you have a wooden stick, or sticks, in your basement or garage, Glen would be happy to hear from you.  You can reach him at 613-596-4172.  He would like to be able to continue his hobby to provide help to those who benefit from his craft. _
