20 April 2015 / #construction #road closure Daytime lane reductions to accommodate Sussex Drive reconstructionBeginning on Monday, April 20, one lane will be closed in both directions on sections of Sussex Drive, from St. Patrick Street to King Edward Avenue, from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. These closures are required to complete the installation of new intersection crosswalks along Sussex Drive as well as final road resurfacing. The construction of crosswalks in the segment where work is underway will require closures for extended periods. The work is scheduled to continue to mid-August. In addition to the lane reductions on Sussex Drive, traffic will be reduced to one lane on St. Patrick Street from Parent Street to Sussex Drive until late June. Detours for heavy vehicles will be in effect and will be signed. The Sussex Drive Reconstruction project is an Ottawa on the Move project.
