Construction worker leaps into action when co-worker suffers cardiac arrest

Paramedics responded to a call for a 25 year old construction worker who suffered a medical cardiac arrest that occurred in a new housing development near Stonehaven and Stonemeadow Dr.  The Ottawa Paramedic Service Communications Centre received the call at 14:44 hrs today (Monday July 4

The male patient received CPR immediately from his quick acting co-worker, and when Paramedics arrived, they were able to shock the patient, and provide advanced care treatment. The patient regained a pulse and was transported to the closest appropriate hospital.
