9 May 2017 / #107.7 fm ottawa #carlsbad springs Carlsbad Springs Community Association launches tourist info radio station on 107.7 FM_ (Via Carlsbad Springs Community Association) _ As of May 1, 2017 the community of Carlsbad Springs has a local bilingual tourist information radio station owned and operated by the Carlsbad Springs Community Association (CSCA).The CSCA is the only community association that owns and operates a radio station in the City of Ottawa. CJRO 107.7 FM - Carlsbad Info Radio broadcast from a low power FM transmitter situated at 6020 Piperville Road.In April 2017 it received a broadcast certificate from Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED).Its mandate is to promote local and regional events and attractions, provide community information and also the weather from Environment Canada. The station is also connected to the Pelmorex Common Alerting Protocol emergency alerting system.The station does not compete with commercial radio stations in Ottawa and does not broadcast music (only background music).CJRO 107.7 FM – Carlsbad Info Radio can be received from Frank Kenny Road in the east to Anderson Road in the west and from approx.
