Campaign aims to replace instruments destroyed in Kanata school fire

A fire last week in a portable at the Kanata Montessori School destroyed many of the school’s musical instruments.

David and Marie Haynes, who have kids who attend the school, are organizing a donation drive to collect instruments to replace what was lost.  The instruments that are needed the most are smaller instruments that are used for the younger grades.

Instruments they are hoping to collect include:

 *
Electric or Acoustic guitars – preferably child sized, but either is good.

 *
Amplifiers

 *
trumpets

 *
trombones

 *
clarinets

 *
any other wind instruments

 *
hand drums

The school does not need violins or recorders. ** Click here for more info on how to make a donation… ** _ (This post originally appeared on our sister site, StittsvilleCentral.ca .) _
