Bank St and Greenbank Rd Front Desk Services to close January 8, 2016

Effective

January 8, 2016

, the Front Desks at 245 Greenbank Road and 4561 Bank Street will be closed.

“The change is the result of an in depth workload analysis, health and safety considerations and the repurposing of both buildings. This also supports the current Service Initiative objective to make the best use of our resources.” said Ottawa Police Inspector of District Support Tessa Youngson-Larochelle.

The Front Desks at 474 Elgin Street, 3343 St. Joseph Boulevard and 233 Huntmar Drive will continue to operate seven days a week, providing the same broad range of services, including police and collision reporting, vehicle releases and police records checks. As well, the facility at 2670 Queensview Drive is dedicated to background clearance, criminal records checks and Freedom of Information (FOI) requests.

Once closed, public access will not be available to these buildings, unless arrangements are made to meet an Ottawa Police member to provide an escort into the building.

“This enables Ottawa Police to better support front desk services and collision reporting, providing more efficient service to the public,” said Insp. Youngson-Larochelle. Visit our website for hours of operation . How to contact Ottawa Police
