Months after an enormous sinkhole opened up on Rideau Street, another one has appeared.

Ottawa Police issued a news release Sunday afternoon:

_ "While in the midst of construction a small sink hole appeared on Rideau St. As a precaution Rideau St is presently shut down btw Sussex and Dalhousie St. The sidewalk is open to pedestrian traffic. OC Transpo has been re routed _ _ The City is presently assessing the situation." _

The area’s councillor Mathieu Fleury tweeted the cause was traced to jet grouting, describing it as a “‘pot hole.’”
