Back with a vengeance: small 'sinkhole' opens up on Rideau

Months after an enormous sinkhole opened up on Rideau Street, another one has appeared.
Ottawa Police issued a news release Sunday afternoon:
"While in the midst of construction a small sink hole appeared on Rideau St.
As a precaution Rideau St is
presently shut down btw Sussex and Dalhousie St. The sidewalk is open to pedestrian traffic.
OC Transpo has been re routed

The City is presently assessing the situation."

The area’s councillor Mathieu Fleury tweeted the cause was traced to jet grouting, describing it as a “‘pot hole.'”
