All lanes on Nicholas Street open

Construction on Nicholas Street from Highway 417 to Laurier Avenue is now complete, and the street is fully open.

Nicholas was reduced to one lane in each direction in active construction zones from May to November to allow for the installation of new sewer and watermain infrastructure, as well as utility relocations.

Portions of this work were part of the O-Train Confederation Line light rail transit construction, and part of Ottawa on the Move. Ottawa on the Move is about keeping our community and economy moving forward through strategic investments in a number of transportation, water, and sewer projects to build a better city and create jobs.
